It was the turtle's fault!
It was "the turtle's fault" that we adopted Puff and Pooh.
As
mom tells it... one summer day,
while driving to the store, I noticed a turtle in front
of me on the road and stopped to let it cross. The turtle decided to take a
seat in
the middle of the road and wouldn't move. I didn't want the turtle to get
run over by another car, so I decided to help the turtle, and moved it to
the side of the road.
Meow! Meow. I heard a tiny kitten meowing from the bushes. Out pranced the
cutest little gray kitty I had ever seen. The kitty walked up to me and
began rubbing against my legs and (you may not believe this, but I do) the kitten asked
me to take
her home.
Remember, always be cautious and be sure of your own safety before trying
to help a turtle across the road. Do your part to help turtles. Help them
across the road if it is safe to do so and never bring a wild turtle home
for a pet.
Next, we'll say hello to "Tom-Kitty".
